REDARC BCDC Alpha 50A Rear Install Wiring Kit
Simplify rear-of-vehicle dual-battery installations with the REDARC BCDC Alpha 50A Rear Install Wiring Kit — the complete wiring solution designed for when your secondary (auxiliary) battery is located in the rear or canopy of the vehicle, separated from the start battery by as much as 6.5 metres.
Key Features
Rear-vehicle ready – perfect for setups where the auxiliary battery lives in the canopy, tub, trailer or rear of the vehicle, especially when it’s separated from the start battery by a long distance (up to 6.5 m / 21'4").
Complete wiring kit – includes all essential cables, fuses, fuse-holders, connectors, protective conduit and cable ties.
Pre-crimped and trim-to-length cables – cables are pre-crimped on one end; the other end can be trimmed to the required length so the installation can be customised to your vehicle’s layout.
Compatible with BCDC Alpha 50A Chargers – designed for use with the 12 V 50 A DC-DC chargers: BCDC12050B or BCDC12050R.
What’s Included
The kit comes with:
1 × brown, 1 × black and 1 × red primary cables
60 A fuse kit — includes 4 × MIDI fuses and 2 × MIDI fuse holders
2 × 150 mm red cable (for shorter runs or bridging)
1 m protective conduit to safeguard wiring along the vehicle body
45 cable ties for clean, secure cable routing
Blue control cable assembly (includes a 2 A MINI blade fuse, one long blue cable and one short red/blue cable)
Recommended Use & Installation
- Ideal for installations where the auxiliary battery is installed in the rear — canopy, tray, or camper area — and is up to 6.5 m / 21'4" away from the start battery.
- The pre-crimped cables and trim-to-fit design give flexibility for different vehicle layouts and configurations.
- For installations using the BCDC Alpha 50A R variant, modifications may be required — refer to the manufacturer’s “Tech Tip” for guidance.
- As with all high-current DC wiring, installation should be carried out by a qualified auto-electrician or suitably experienced installer for safety and reliability.
Why It’s Worth It
Rather than sourcing individual cables, fuses, fuse-holders, conduit and cable-management gear separately and worrying about compatibility this wiring kit bundles everything you need into one package. That translates to a cleaner, faster, safer installation and reduces the risk of under-spec or mismatched wiring. For people running 4WDs, caravans, camper trailers, or long-haul rigs where the auxiliary battery sits at the rear — this kit delivers a tidy, professional-grade dual-battery wiring solution.
