The Electronic Isolator
|
| |
| Control the competition with the Piranha
DBE100S or DBE150S electronic isolator. The electronic unit will ensure
that the main starting battery is charged before connecting the auxiliary
battery. It does this by monitoring the voltage in the main battery.
When the voltage in the main battery reaches a predetermined threshold
(approx. 13.5 volts ), it starts to charge the auxiliary battery.
It will also disconnect the auxiliary battery from charging if the
main battery voltage drops below that of another predetermined threshold
(approx. 12.8 volts). |

The Piranha DBE 100S
|
| Piranha's DBE100S and DBE150S offer a modern
and reliable solution to auxiliary battery charging and management.
These benefits are: |
| 1. |
Can be fitted to any vehicle (diesel, petrol, EFI, turbo,
internally or externally sensed voltage regulator etc.) |
| 2. |
Does not interfere with existing vehicle or boat wiring. |
| 3. |
100 or 150 amp capacity |
| 4. |
Allows the use of dissimilar batteries i.e. age, design
or size. e.g. cranking/ deep cycle. |
| 5. |
Negligible voltage drop across the isolator. |
| 6. |
Provides spike voltage protection to EFI and automotive
computer systems |
| 7. |
Easy to install. |
| 8. |
Minimises recovery time to auxiliary battery by providing
maximum available charge to auxiliary battery after charging of main
battery. |
| |
9. |
Fail safe design that will, in the worst case scenario
of complete system failure, allow only the auxiliary battery to run
flat. 1 |
| 10. |
Australian made and designed with 2 years unlimited
kms. warranty on the 1008 or 3 years unlimited kms. |

| The Piranha DBE 150S |
 |
The Piranha DBE 150S Electronic
Isolator takes all the best features of the DBE100S but disregards
the need for old low tech bi-metal circuit breakers, which are both
inaccurate, and often don't blow quickly enough. Our modern solution
is electronic current limiting. This is lightning quick and spot on
accurate, making internal failure due to overload practically impossible.
The next innovation was to get rid of the brass nut and bolt. Although
simple, it lends itself to vibrating loose or being over tightened.
The solution is even simpler. We have soldered the actual power cables
directly onto the circuit board, thus eliminating the need for nuts
and bolts and best of all, the Full Cable kit is now part of the isolator.
In simple terms, no circuit breakers to mount and wire up, no cable
kit to buy then install, so overall two significant cost savings and
two possible problem areas now disappear. |
| |
With a practical no nonsense
approach to Hi Tech problems we feel confident to increase our warranty
period to 3 years. This is backed by a network of agents and authorised
fitting stations Australia wide. This product will in normal service
life last for a great many years, and should problems ever occur,
it is fully repairable. This is definitely not a throwaway product.
