| It pays to be safe |

| When climbing hills, fit the chains to the
rear wheels because due to gravity 70% of the whole vehicle weight
is transferred to the rear. With the additional grip by the chains,
you will keep mobile and steady. If you're going downhill, fit the
chains to the front wheels, but if you're covering all conditions
then chain-up all four wheels. Protection of the environment is paramount
and driven intelligently, a chain-eqipped vehicle will cause less
track damage than one without chains. |
| To be safe, always fit chains before you get into trouble
(have a practice at home first). After fitting the chains and installing
the rubber tensioning rings, drive slowly for about 200 metres, then
recheck and adjust the tension of the chains. |
